Tuition Assistance and Scholarships

Cottage Co-op is committed to economic diversity as an integral aspect of our inclusion practices. As a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, we are able to keep the price of tuition below the actual cost of operating the school by factoring in fundraising contributions, which offers an opportunity for donors to write off a portion of the cost to attend. Thank you donors for supporting an accessible high quality early childhood education!

Additionally, a portion of our operating budget is set aside to provide Tuition Assistance grants to qualified applicants. Our finance committee allocates Tuition Assistance grants based on family need and availability of funds. No identifying details are provided to the committee, and Tuition Assistance applications have no bearing on offers of Admissions. Recipients are notified by email.

To apply for Tuition Assistance, please complete the application below. In addition to the application, submit a copy of the family’s two most recent federal tax returns (first few pages only), to
our Director at jrobertson@cottagecoop.org. Jocelyn is the only person who sees your application.

Through the generosity of Cottage Alumni families, we also offer the following scholarships each year:

The Demorest Family Scholarship, an annual gift of $1,000 for Cottage kids with severe food allergies to assist their families with the cost of tuition. Funds may be given to one or more families, not to exceed $1,000 per year, at the direction of Cottage’s Director. If there are no families with anaphylactic food allergies in a particular year, the Director may choose a family or families to receive the scholarship who have a child with additional needs who chose Cottage due to its inclusion of kids with disabilities.
